Because of sin in our lives we all stand in need of SALVATION.
- What is sin?
Sin is any action or thought that violates God's commands and instructions as given to us in the Bible.
- Who has sinned?
The Bible Says: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
- What's so bad about sin?
The Bible Says: For the wages of sin is death... Romans 6:23a, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." Ezekiel 18:20 (KJV), "But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God." Isaiah 59:2
- The solution to sin
The Bible Says: "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
- What does God offer in place of sin?
Let's see what the Bible says: "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
- How can you accept this free gift?
The Bible says: "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved..." Acts 16:31
- If you believe God's word then pray this prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, I believe you died for my sins and was raised from the dead. Please forgive me and give me an eternal relationship with you. I surrender to your leadership in my life right now. Thank you for saving me!
- HOW CAN I BE ASSURED OF MY SALVATION?
Determine to Believe God's Word Based upon what you feel is the source of your lack of assurance; examine the following scriptures to see what God's word says about it. Psalms 103:13; Job 14:17; John 10:28-30; Ephesians 1:13-14; Romans 10:13; Luke 15:7.
SAVED, NOW WHAT?
BE BAPTIZED Baptism should follow a belief in Christ (Acts 2:41). Baptism is a ceremony which symbolizes a believer's new relationship with Christ.
- It symbolizes a Christian' s union with God (Matthew 28:19-20).
- It symbolizes a Christian's cleansing from sin (Acts 22:16).
- It symbolizes a Christian's death, burial, and resurrection with Christ (Romans 6:3-4).
- It symbolizes a Christian's pledge to live a godly life (1Peter 3:21).
Baptism is to be done by immersion (Matthew 3:16). In baptism by immersion, one's body is completely submerged under water and then lifted out of the water.
DEDICATE YOURSELF TO GOD Uncertainty thrives among those who are uncommitted. Full devotion to God gives you confidence that you know Him. (2 Peter 1:5-11)
PRAY AND STUDY THE BIBLE 2
TIMOTHY 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
JOIN A CHURCH Church
membership is essential to the ongoing spiritual growth of Christians.
Through membership in a church community, you will find spiritual
mentors and friends who will encourage you in your walk with Christ (Hebrews 10:25).
SHARE CHRIST WITH OTHERS As
Christians, we are to share with others how they can enter a
relationship with him. Publicly confessing Christ gives us added
strength to live for him and is evidence the we really know him (Matthew 10:32-33).
